Over het museum

The Strøjer Samlingen goes back to Jørgen Strøjer Hansen, who as a young man took over the family-owned brickworks Vedstårup Teglværk east of Assens as the fourth generation. He bought his first car, an old FIAT 509, at the age of 14; since then he has collected vehicles over more than six decades, each personally selected.

For a long time the collection was private and only rarely open to guests. After a trial opening it drew great interest and became a meeting place for car enthusiasts. In 2020 the collection passed into the family company Strøjer Tegl; today it belongs to the Strøjer Hansen family.

Around 100 vehicles are on display, including classic and modern sports cars from marques such as Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Porsche, racing cars with a Le Mans past, as well as cars once owned by the Danish royal family. The large hall holds more than 70 cars; visits are possible as part of group tours, corporate meetings and lecture evenings.
