Eintracht Frankfurt Museum

Club museum in the main grandstand of Frankfurt's stadium: more than 125 years of Eintracht history, trophies and behind-the-scenes tours.

OpeningstijdenToegang vanaf € 6 Rolstoeltoegankelijk

Over het museum

The museum's core is the private collection of Heiner Stocke, who sat on the Eintracht Frankfurt board after World War II and looked after anniversaries and honors. After his death, the items first went to a sports museum in the cycling track of the old Waldstadion. In 1999, the club's centenary year, Eintracht set up its own archive at Riederwald, which grew quickly thanks to further private bequests; an exhibition on Frankfurt's soccer history at the Historisches Museum provided additional impetus.

After the 2006 World Cup, the club decided to set up a museum in the renovated stadium. It opened on November 27, 2007, in the main grandstand of the arena now called Deutsche Bank Park; a friends' association had been founded shortly before. The museum is operated by Eintracht Frankfurt Museum GmbH and directed by Matthias Thoma.

Across a good 400 square meters, nine themed sections tell the club's story from its founding in 1899 to the present day – with Bundesliga and cup triumphs, jerseys and pennants, but also the years of the world wars and the Nazi era. Exhibits include the German championship trophy (Meisterschale), the DFB Cup and European cups. The museum is active in remembrance work on Jewish club members, organizes evening talks with former players and offers guided tours of the museum and stadium as well as workshops for school classes.

Hoogtepunten

  • Eintracht's German championship trophy (Meisterschale), DFB Cup and European cup
  • Founding charter of the predecessor club Frankfurter FC Victoria from 1899
  • Combined tours of the museum and stadium, right up to the edge of the pitch
  • VR stadium tour with a look at match-day operations and former stadiums
  • Explainer videos in German, English and sign language at ten stations

Vaste collectie

  • Dauerausstellung zur Geschichte von Eintracht Frankfurt – Nine themed sections spread over more than 400 m² lead from the club's founding in 1899 through championships and European cup wins to the present, also shedding light on the war years and the Nazi era.
