Motorcycle museum at the Wickensen manor farm in the Weser Uplands with a large NSU collection; currently closed for redesign.
Over het museum
The collector Günter Dischereit bought the Wickensen manor farm near Eschershausen in 2001 and converted it into a museum for his vehicles; it opened on May 1, 2004. On about 1,400 square meters stood roughly 140 motorcycles with a focus on NSU, BMW, and Zündapp, plus mopeds, bicycles, and a few cars. A series of NSU machines showed the development of the brand up to the end of its motorcycle production in 1966; nostalgic scenes such as a 1920s grocery store and everyday scenes of the 1950s and 1960s complemented the collection.
With a café-restaurant and beer garden in the park-like grounds on the B 64, the farm became a popular meeting place for motorcyclists in the Weser Uplands.
In October 2025, the classic car dealer Stephan Voigt took over the manor farm. Since then the museum and café have been closed. Part of the collection is being sold, but the core of almost 100 NSU two-wheelers is to be preserved and expanded. A redesigned museum with classic cars, historic motorcycles, and automobilia is planned, as well as a café with a beer garden; there are no regular opening hours yet.
