About the museum
The Brussels Comics Figurines Museum, formerly known as MOOF (Museum of Original Figurines), presents the private collection of a comic-book enthusiast. It is run by the non-profit association Museum of Original Figurines and occupies an area of about 1,300 m² on level -1 of the Horta gallery, on the route between Central Station and the Grand-Place.
More than 1,650 pieces are on display: figurines of Belgian comic characters such as Tintin, Spirou or the Smurfs, but also American comic-book heroes such as Spider-Man and Batman, manga characters and many other universes. The statuettes are shown alongside video games, videos explaining how the great works were created, and a period cinema room where cartoons are screened.
The route is equipped with audio and is very visual. It is designed so that adults can rediscover childhood memories and younger visitors can have fun. The museum received the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence every year from 2014 to 2024.
