Musée de la Forêt et des Eaux « Pierre Noé »

Nature museum on the Bérinzenne estate near Spa: fagne (peat moorland), forests, springs and mineral waters across six interactive spaces, with a trail game for children.

Opening hoursAdmission €7 Partially accessible

About the museum

The museum is located on the Bérinzenne estate, about five kilometres from Spa, on the edge of the Malchamps fagne and in the heart of the Spa forest. It occupies a former fortified farm whose buildings date from the second half of the 17th century; the square tower has since disappeared. The estate is also home to the CRIE de Spa, the regional environmental education centre, whose educators take part in guided visits and school activities.

The exhibition presents the natural environments of the Spa-Bérinzenne region across six large spaces: groundwater and mineral water, forest and forestry, rivers, fagne, and history and folk tales. Murals, stuffed animals, interactive games and hands-on displays invite young and old to touch, listen and observe. A mascot, the owl, accompanies the children.

Every year a temporary exhibition is presented, along with the “Chouette Enquête”, a family treasure hunt included in the admission price. Since August 2025, a space devoted to the wolf, with a stuffed animal, explains the species’ return to Belgium.
