About the museum
The Heimatverein Sulingen (local heritage association) was founded in 1983; the local heritage museum is at the heart of its work. A permanent exhibition shows, with many exhibits, how people in the Sulinger Land lived and worked in the past, supplemented by changing exhibitions on individual themes.
Until autumn 2019 the museum was housed in rooms next to the Café am Stadtsee. Since then it has been located in the former primary school on Schmelingstraße; it is looked after by members of the association.
