About the museum
The Centro de Interpretación La Herrería de Bielva occupies what was the “Fragua y Herrería de Pepe el Herrero”, in the village of Bielva, in the municipality of Herrerías. The workshop has been turned into a small interpretation space and retains its original structure and layout almost intact.
The installation consists of a single room divided into two parts. The first shows the forge and the bellows used to fan the fire; the second, the blacksmith's tools and implements. Outside, the horse-shoeing frame (potro de herrar) and the anvil can be seen from the street, and the main information is displayed on panels outside the building.
The site is designed to be seen and visited from the street, so, according to the Mancomunidad Saja-Nansa, it can be visited at any time.
