About the museum
The OMEGA Museum tells the story of the watch brand headquartered in Biel/Bienne. It presents around 175 years of watchmaking and has been housed since 2019 in a new building designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, a Pritzker Prize laureate, for the Cité du Temps. The Planet Swatch experience is on the same site.
The exhibition relies on films, display cases and interactive stations. Along a roughly 50-meter steel band in the shape of a watch strap, 64 "treasure windows" open up, showing watches from the company's history. On a nine-meter running track, visitors can time their own run with the brand's timekeeping. Admission is free for everyone.
