About the museum
Corby Heritage Centre is run by North Northamptonshire Council in two buildings at 75 to 77 High Street in the Old Village of Corby. It opened in 2011 and tells the story of the town from its origins as a small village to the steelworks town that grew around it, and the communities who came to live and work there.
A small permanent display introduces Corby's earliest history, and a separate exhibition space shows several changing displays on aspects of local heritage each year. A programme of talks, including on Corby Old Village and Corby Steelworks, runs through the year, and the centre offers local history and family history resources to visitors.
