About the museum
The Lambretta Scooter Museum in Weston-super-Mare is a private collection of 61 Lambretta models, with at least one scooter from every year between October 1947 and May 1971. It runs from the early Model A scooters, first made in 1947, to Lambro three-wheelers, Lambretta mopeds and related automobilia.
The museum is attached to a scooter parts shop in Alfred Street. In 2006 the shop and museum were sold to Stuart Lanning, and after a long period of closure the exhibits were refurbished and the museum reopened on 9 August 2008. It was offered for sale again in 2013.
The museum's own Facebook page has carried a notice that it is closed until further notice, and listings say it is sometimes shut when the owners have other commitments.
