About the museum
The Norfolk Museum of Freemasonry was officially opened on 18 September 2018 and tells the story of Freemasonry in the county of Norfolk. It is run by Norfolk Freemasons and is open to the public as well as to members, with free entry.
Some of the exhibits are permanent. One cabinet is kept for rotating displays from Norfolk lodges, and its contents are changed every six months. The museum also keeps a reference library and an archive that support research into Freemasonry in Norfolk, and visitors who want to see particular material are asked to contact the team in advance so that it can be prepared.
The museum accepts donations of Masonic items for the collection and welcomes volunteers for cataloguing and for helping to run the museum.
