About the museum

The museum tells the story of Warwickshire County Cricket Club and its players. It is inside the Edgbaston ground, behind one of the stands, and also sells pre-owned cricket books.

In 2024 the club renewed the displays. New material covered the West Indies and their visits to Edgbaston, including a cap that belonged to Gary Sobers and the blazer of Alvin Kallicharran, as well as a cabinet about the bowler Bob Willis. Other displays cover Jimmy Ord, who scored almost 12,000 runs for the county between 1933 and 1953, and the “Brumbrella”, the covering used for the pitch. The outside of the building was redecorated with a photo montage of club players.

The club reported about 12,000 visitors to the museum in 2023, including 4,600 during the men’s Ashes Test.
