Over het museum
The André-Larroderie Archaeological Museum opened in 1987 in Sainte-Bazeille, about 7 km from Marmande in the Lot-et-Garonne département. It is named after a resident of the commune who devoted his life to studying the past of Sainte-Bazeille and the Marmandais.
The route traces about 2,000 years of local history, from prehistory to the Middle Ages, including the Gallo-Roman period. The permanent exhibition, entitled “Vingt ans de recherche dans le Marmandais”, brings together more than 700 objects: ancient coins, weapons, Gallo-Roman pottery, jewelry and other ornaments.
