Over het museum
The MO-S 24 U Signálu infantry bunker is a two-story, two-sided structure of the third resistance class, built in 1936; the final concreting took place on 17–24 October. During mobilization it had a crew of 38 men. Its armament consisted of an anti-tank gun, heavy and light machine guns and a casemate mortar; cupolas and two bells served for observation and fire control.
In addition to the combat rooms, the upper floor contains the quarters of the non-commissioned officers, a filter room and an ammunition store; the lower floor includes a washroom, crew quarters, an engine room, storerooms and a well. An interesting feature is the ammunition hoist, which has been fully repaired and stands in its original place.
The bunker is now managed by the Klub vojenské historie Hraničářský pluk 4 (Military History Club). It is open to the public irregularly, usually on weekends, or by prior arrangement with the custodians.
