Over het museum

Infantry bunker T-S 26 stands in the saddle near Odolov in the Jestřebí hory massif, which forms the dividing line between the Náchod and Trutnov sections of the fortification line. The saddle was the only suitable place for vehicles to cross the ridge, so three infantry bunkers and several model 37 light structures were built here. T-S 26 is a two-storey, double-sided structure of the first resistance class. The concrete was poured on 19–24 August 1938; about 1,054 m³ were used, and the construction cost about CZK 1.2 million.

Because the bunker was concreted only four weeks before general mobilisation, it was neither completed nor armed. During the war the abandoned structure was shot at, three embrasures for the main weapons were torn out of it, and later it was used as a rubbish dump.

Since 2000 members of a military history club have been restoring the bunker. Dummy embrasures were installed and a diesel generator was put into operation. Today the museum of pre-war Czechoslovak fortifications is run here by the association KVH Odolov z. s. In 2026 the bunker is closed until further notice.
