Om museet
Astrorama is a center for public science outreach, located at the Fort de la Revère at an altitude of 650 m on the Grande Corniche between Nice and La Turbie. It was founded in 1987 by Jean-Louis Heudier and is run by the association Parsec, founded in 1986 and based on the site since 2007. This non-profit association, governed by French law (loi 1901), is dedicated to science outreach in astronomy and space.
Thanks to its elevated position, the site offers good observing conditions, with binoculars and telescopes available to visitors. Science educators lead observation evenings, planetarium sessions, illustrated lectures, courses and programs for schools, leisure centers and groups. The content of the programs is approved by a scientific council made up of teachers, researchers and astronomers.
