The Museum of Contemporary Jewelry, also known as Espace Solidor, is housed in the former antiques shop of singer Suzy Solidor in Haut-de-Cagnes. It introduces the public to an art that avant-garde designers from France and abroad practice every day at a high level.

Temporary exhibitions present the work of one or more artists around a theme. The permanent collection, with 300 pieces, already outlines a history of contemporary jewelry that began in the 1960s.

In 1995, the town received the “Ville et métiers d’art” label for its commitment to contemporary jewelry; Cagnes-sur-Mer is the only town in France to have been awarded this label for this activity. The town also hosts artist residencies in the Maison Solidor, and some residents have access to La Crypte, a workshop equipped with jewelry-making workbenches.
