The Museu d’Art Contemporani de Pego opened in 1991 with the prize-winning works of the painting competition “Vila de Pego”. It is housed in the town’s Casa de Cultura and has six rooms.
Its holdings include hyperrealist, symbolist and abstract works. The collection comes from the prizes of the painting competition and from donations by associations, artists and galleries.
