Om museet
The museum grew out of the collection of ethnological objects that Luis Perales, a resident of Llanera de Ranes, gathered over more than forty years. The collection is so large that it completely fills a three-storey building with a basement, next to the Plaza de la Iglesia. The museum opened its doors on 29 March 2003.
The collection covers the popular and traditional culture of the village and the region: domestic and social life, furniture, trade and exchange, transport, agriculture, livestock farming and crafts, with complete series of objects and tools.
On the ground floor there is a wide variety of materials, including a very complete kitchen; the first floor is devoted to agriculture, from sowing to harvest, and to a bedroom; the top floor displays a collection of cigarette packets from around the world and other curiosities.
