Om museet
Alšovka is a building of the South Moravian Museum in Znojmo on Alšova Street. It serves as the museum’s central depository, an exhibition space and a regional education centre.
The permanent exhibition Umění Znojma a Podyjí presents paintings, prints and sculptures connected with Znojmo and the Dyje valley. It is divided into three thematic strands: Landscape, Town and People. The first part shows the nature of Podyjí, castles and châteaux, and views of Znojmo from the late 18th to the mid-20th century; the second shows the monuments, lanes and public spaces of the town; and the third the work of local natives, artists associated with the region and members of the Sdružení výtvarných umělců moravských (Association of Moravian Visual Artists).

Free admission for children under 6, members of AMG ČR, ICOM and registered war veterans. A tour in a foreign language is possible only by arrangement, with a surcharge of 100%.
