Om museet
Czech Photo Centre opened on 13 October 2016 in a residential and office complex in Nové Butovice. The building was constructed by the developer Trigema in 2014 to 2016 to a design by the Atelier Smitka studio. The centre is run by the non-profit organisation Czech Photo, which holds the annual competitions Czech Press Photo, Czech Nature Photo and Czech Photo Junior.
The gallery presents works by leading Czech and international photographers and also gives space to young authors. The first exhibition project was the photographs of the VII Photo Agency. The centre includes exhibition halls, a studio, a classroom, offices and a photographic archive, which contains pictures from past years of the Czech Press Photo competition. Photography courses, workshops and programmes for seniors also take place here, and the spaces can be rented for corporate or social events.
In front of the building stands the twelve-metre kinetic sculpture Trifot by David Černý, created specifically for this place. It consists of cameras on a giant tripod and recalls the development of photographic technology. Next to the gallery is the Trifot restaurant.

Two halls (a small and a large one, 54 and 125 m²) and a meeting room of 29 m² are available for hire; for events up to 100 people, or up to 200 people when connected to the restaurant. Suitable for exhibitions, workshops, lectures and corporate parties.
