Historic 1909 locomotive depot with a round engine house and turntable, preserved as a museum depot by the railway association.

Om museet
The Adorf locomotive depot dates from 1909 and lies about one kilometer from the station, on the line toward Plauen. The complex includes a 20-meter turntable with a twelve-stall roundhouse, a water crane, a coaling facility for steam locomotives and several outbuildings. The neighboring former locomotive management building completes the ensemble. A siding about one kilometer long connects the depot with the station.
Since 1995 the Vogtländischer Eisenbahnverein Adorf e. V. (Vogtland Railway Association Adorf) has maintained and operated the facilities on a voluntary basis. It is today the only still intact locomotive depot in the Vogtland.
In the roundhouse stands steam locomotive 86 607 (Borsig, 1942), on permanent loan from the Verkehrsmuseum Dresden; it was itself stationed in Adorf for a few months in 1952/53. Also on view are the Hanomag locomotive “Elna” from 1931 and other vehicles, such as the “Schienentrabi”, a rail motorcycle that became a cult object and contains parts of the Trabant P 50.
