About the museum
Bad Pirawarth in the Weinviertel was a spa town for a long time. The Dependance is the last surviving building of the former spa and health institution. Today it belongs to the market municipality and houses an exhibition on the town's history as a health resort, whose documentation goes back to the year 1303.
On display are historical pictures, postcards and documents on the development of the bathing establishment and its career as a spa. The exhibition is not freely accessible but is viewed as part of guided tours, which are offered about every two weeks on a Monday. Registration is via the municipal office.
In addition, the municipality rents out the Dependance and the neighbouring Knesl-Park for private parties, events and weddings.
