About the museum

Illusion Antwerpen is an interactive illusion museum on the Frankrijklei in central Antwerp. It is run by ETR Antwerpen SRL and is aimed at visitors of all ages, including families.

The museum has more than fifty interactive installations. You walk through trompe-l’oeil rooms where floors seem to tilt and walls seem to move, play with shadow, light and space, and try out technological installations that you can touch and film. In several places you can have a photo taken in which you seem to float or shrink to miniature size. Some installations were designed especially for the Antwerp location and cannot be seen elsewhere.

The ground floor is fully accessible; the upper floor cannot be reached by lift because of the structure of the building.
