About the museum

The visitor centre stands by the site of the Dukovany nuclear power plant in the Vysočina region and is operated by ČEZ as part of the Svět energie (World of Energy) project. The power plant covers an area equal to roughly 178 football pitches, and the centre serves as a place where people without specialist knowledge can get to know how it operates.

The exhibition is built on interactive exhibits that explain how electricity is produced from nuclear fuel, the generating unit and the reactor itself. The tour also includes virtual reality glasses, with which visitors can look into the controlled zone of the power plant and choose a scenario for a virtual tour. The exhibition is not freely accessible; it can only be visited on a guided tour, for which registration in advance is required.
