About the museum
The Památník Edvarda Beneše (Edvard Beneš Memorial) commemorates the second Czechoslovak president and his wife Hana on the grounds of their villa in Sezimovo Ústí. The visitor route begins in the Edvard Beneš Pavilion, loosely continues through the park with the tomb of the Beneš couple, and ends in the villa. The site includes the villa, the tomb, the pavilion and the park.
In 2026 the Husitské muzeum v Táboře took over the administration of the Beneš Villa grounds from the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic. The transfer follows several years of cooperation between the two institutions in managing and opening up this heritage and memory site. The extensive park in the lower part of the grounds, with the tomb, has been open since 1 April 2026.
