About the museum
The Uhříněves Museum is part of the municipal district of Prague 22 and devotes itself to the history of Uhříněves and the surrounding area. It is located on Nové náměstí in a former stable; the exhibition and community hall is on the ground floor, and the library, with which the museum shares the building, is on the first floor.
The museum prepares short-term exhibitions, lectures and other cultural events, for example the Muzejní noc v Uhříněvsi (Museum Night in Uhříněves), whose fifth year took place in June 2026, or guided tours of the Uhříněves Jewish cemetery. It also publishes works on local history, for example on the history of schooling in Uhříněves, and tourist cards.
The permanent exhibition is currently temporarily closed. The museum is carrying out an extraordinary inventory of its collections and is working on a completely new permanent exhibition. Research services are provided only to a limited extent.
