About the museum

ART42 is a street art museum that opened on October 1, 2016, at 96 boulevard Bessières in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. It presents itself as the first free, permanent street art museum in France.

The museum is housed in the heart of École 42, a free computer programming school founded in 2013 on the initiative of Xavier Niel. The artworks are spread across the school's spaces, over nearly 9,000 m², in the middle of the students' workplaces. The museum is run by the association Artistik Rezo.

The collection brings together more than 50 artists and nearly 200 works, including pieces by RERO. It draws on the Collection Nicolas Laugero Lasserre. A team of curators and mediators organizes free guided tours once a month, by reservation.
