About the museum

Dalí Paris stands on rue Poulbot, about thirty metres from the Place du Tertre, on the site of the former Historial de Montmartre, a museum on the history of the district that operated from 1954 to 1990. According to Wikipedia, the venue opened in 1991 and was renovated in April 2018.

The museum presents the private collection assembled by Beniamino Levi, dealer, collector and publisher of Salvador Dalí’s works, from which the Dalí Sculpture Collection originates. The works reflect Dalí’s wish to see his famous motifs take shape in three dimensions.

The collection includes more than 300 works: bronze and glass sculptures, prints, drawings, objects and surrealist furniture. The circuit runs over two levels around themes such as literature, science, religion and women. The museum also presents temporary exhibitions and, since 2020, augmented reality content.
