About the museum
MM Park is a private museum of military technology in La Wantzenau, near Strasbourg. Its founder, Éric Kauffmann, prepared the project over several years and bought the building in 2010. He wanted to house the collection of his father, who had also lent period vehicles for film shoots. The museum opened on March 1, 2017.
Covering about 7,000 m² across two levels, it focuses mainly on the Second World War. The two large halls house more than 120 vehicles and machines, including tanks, half-tracks and motorcycles, as well as more than 500 uniforms and more than 500 weapons, mainly from France, Germany, Bulgaria, the United States, the United Kingdom and the USSR.
The museum also houses the Sussex 1944 collection, devoted to an Allied intelligence plan set up before the landings and to the agents parachuted into France. The entrance ticket gives access to the collections, a cinema room and several activities, including an aerial obstacle course, a flight simulator, a precision shooting range and a ball pit. Educational trails are offered to collèges and lycées of the Strasbourg Academy.
