About the museum
The Autrefois museum was founded in 1992 by residents of Champ-sur-Drac. Its collections come from donations made by inhabitants of the commune and neighbouring communes.
It occupies a former shop built for the workers of the Navarre factory, in the workers' estate of the same name. The rooms trace the history of Champ-sur-Drac and the Navarre paper mill.
The route features tools of traditional trades such as leatherwork, shoemaking and glove-making. There is also a cinema projector from 1914, the “Main de fer” invented by Xavier Jouvin, and everyday objects, school items and material from local associations.
