About the museum
The Musée de la Santé de Lorraine is housed in the Faculty of Medicine on the Brabois Santé campus in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy. It preserves the heritage of medical teaching in Lorraine.
The collections include numerous portraits of doctors, some dating back to the 16th century, and nearly 150 dermatological wax models. There are also more than 3,000 medical, pharmaceutical and dental instruments from the faculties of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, from the CHRU de Nancy and from private donations, as well as anatomical models and teaching models.
The museum does not publish regular opening hours: it welcomes visitors during individual events.
