About the museum
The museum occupies a traditional early 19th-century house in the Marensin style: earthen bricks from the south-west and half-timbering of Landes pine. Guides welcome visitors and take them through rooms that have kept the decor of their ancestors’ everyday life.
The attic displays collections of tools from old trades and objects linked to farm and forest work. In the outbuildings, themes are staged, such as the school of the past or farm machinery. The whole takes visitors back to rural life in the Landes before the war.
