About the museum

Quai de la Photo is an art centre devoted to contemporary photography, housed in a floating building moored at the Port de la Gare, at the foot of the Bibliothèque nationale de France in the 13th arrondissement. The venue aims to present current, innovative and original photographic practices.

The exhibitions cover more than 1,000 m²: the main bridge, a gallery for artworks and, in fine weather, a terrace on the riverbank. Admission is free and open to all, featuring established photographers and emerging artists from France and abroad. An artistic council made up of photography figures contributes to the programme, and the photographer Françoise Huguier is its patron.

In addition to the exhibitions, the centre offers guided tours, thematic talks and workshops for children, all free of charge. It also has a specialised bookshop and shop, a bar and a restaurant with a terrace, as well as Seine cruises and private hire for events.
