About the museum
For many centuries Neudorf in the Lower Harz was a mining village in which mining was the population's main source of income. After mining had to be discontinued, the village developed from 1910 into a popular health resort.
The Heimatstube on Schulstraße preserves this local history with numerous historical artefacts. It is one of the Heimatstuben of the town of Harzgerode, which maintain local collections in several districts.
