About the museum
The Historischer Verein Linderte was founded on October 14, 1989. Its task is to collect and preserve local cultural heritage and make it accessible to the public as well as to research and teaching.
The Heimatstube is in the Ronnenberg district of Linderte, at the corner of Holtenser Straße and Schulstraße. On display are, among other things, the original school benches of the old Linderte school and a collection of large and small farm equipment in the museum barn.
Besides the opening days, the association holds readings with the Calenberger Autorenkreis (Calenberg writers' circle), a maypole raising with local clubs, participation in the International Museums Day, a Christmas market on the first Sunday of Advent and, in autumn, kite- or boomerang-making with children.
