About the museum
The Kinder- und Jugendmuseum Donaueschingen was opened in 2012 by the association MACH MIT! – Museum für Kinder und Jugendliche in Donaueschingen e. V. It is housed on the second floor of the baroque Fürstlich Fürstenbergische Hofbibliothek.
The house is divided into four rooms: Room of Wonder, Room of Nature, Room of Technology and Room of People. Visitors work on their own or with guidance at experiment boxes and exhibits. The focus is on scientific and technical concepts and on the Cradle to Cradle resource concept.
Workshops and guided tours are also offered, for example on electrical engineering, water and energy.
