About the museum
The Kleinbahnmuseum Enger was founded in 1998 by former railway workers and commemorates the light railways of the region. Between 1900 and 1966, Enger was a central junction of the Herforder Kleinbahn and the Bielefelder Kreisbahnen.
On display are the preserved passenger car No. 31 of the Herforder Kleinbahn, a diesel locomotive, track maintenance equipment and machines from the former locomotive workshop. The BahnRadRoute Weser-Lippe cycle path now follows the old railway lines.
