About the museum
The Kunstverein Trier Junge Kunst was founded in 1985 and is today one of the important venues for contemporary art in Rhineland-Palatinate.
Its gallery is on the ground floor at Karl-Marx-Straße, on the edge of the city center. Large windows allow a view of the current show even outside opening hours. In 2018 the space was renovated and has since had the clear, museum-like simplicity of a modern exhibition room.
About eight to ten exhibitions are presented each year, including solo shows and jointly curated group exhibitions. One focus is the exchange between artists and curators.
