About the museum
The museum is devoted to the work of Walter Reinhardt, who worked as a restaurateur and was also an artist. His works are considered imaginative, ironic, colorful and tongue-in-cheek; often they tell small stories.
Under the name "Potzlach – Das Museum der tausend Pötze" (Potzlach – The Museum of a Thousand Pötze) it is housed in Villa Potzlach, which was once Reinhardt's studio. The focus is on his idiosyncratic Pötze, alongside paintings, mandalas, parasymmetries, recipes and diaries. An exhibition combines art and cooking, and a picture book and a Potz book accompany the collection. Since January 2017 there has also been an online archive of the work.
