About the museum
The school museum was founded on December 20, 1982, by biology and chemistry teacher Manfred Kahlmeyer. At first it consisted of only some old furniture; over time, collecting brought in many more items: old school desks, school wall charts from 1902, a teacher's desk, slate boards, styluses, exercise books, books and a harmonium.
Today a fully equipped classroom from around the turn of the century lets visitors experience lessons of earlier eras. The museum belongs to the Staatliche Regelschule Uder.
