Toyota Collection
Toyota Germany's vehicle collection in Köln-Marsdorf with about 75 models from six decades – open on the first Saturday of the month.
About the museum
The core of the collection comes from Toyota dealer Peter Pichert, one of the brand's first sales partners in Germany, who opened a private Toyota museum in Hartkirchen near Passau in 1994. After his death in 2016, Toyota Germany reached an agreement with his family to take over the vehicles.
The Toyota Collection opened on November 23, 2017, on the grounds of the company's German headquarters in Köln-Marsdorf. About 75 vehicles stand without barriers on more than 1,800 square meters – from everyday cars like the Starlet and Corolla through the Celica, Supra and Crown to the Land Cruiser and the rare 2000GT sports car. There are also race cars from Le Mans, Formula 1 and the World Rally Championship, concept vehicles, and cutaway models of the Prius hybrid and the Mirai fuel cell vehicle.
The collection opens to the public once a month with changing themes and short guided tours. These dates have become a meeting point for the Toyota scene; visitors bring their own classics, and rare fan-owned vehicles sometimes supplement the exhibition.
