About the museum

Forde was founded in Geneva in 1994 and sees itself as an art space. It is located on the second floor of the Usine, a former industrial building on Rue de la Coulouvrenière that houses several cultural institutions.

The space is run by a rotating team responsible for curating and administration; the programmes of earlier teams are documented in the online archive. The offering includes exhibitions by artists, film nights under the title “Cinéma forde”, readings, performances, studio visits and occasional events for children and their parents.
