About the museum
Lancashire County Cricket Club plays at Old Trafford in Manchester, one of the oldest Test cricket grounds in England. The club keeps a museum at the ground that shows the history of cricket in the county, with early team photographs, scrapbooks, scores, trophies and other objects, including silver tankards dating from 1738 and items linked to W. G. Grace.
The club and the Lancashire Cricket Foundation are developing a larger Lancashire Cricket Heritage Experience, supported by a development grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. It is planned to create a new museum with heritage collections, interactive displays, oral histories and hands-on exhibits, together with a heritage trail across the stadium. The club does not publish regular opening hours for the present museum.
