About the museum
Little Treasures is a privately run toy and dolls' house museum with a small shop. It began near Kemnay in Aberdeenshire as the Dollshouse and Toy Museum and moved in 2019 to a permanent home in Banff, in the town's former Methodist church on Seafield Street.
The move involved packing and transporting more than 350 dolls' houses and thousands of toys. The oldest dolls' houses date from 1865. The collection also includes toy cars, dolls, vintage tinplate toys and displays showing a Victorian childhood. It grew from the owner's own childhood toys.
After the move the museum welcomed school classes and community groups, and a room with a kitchen was offered for group meetings and parties. In July 2026 the museum's Facebook page announced that it was closed for the foreseeable future. No reopening date has been published, and the museum's former website is no longer online.
