About the museum

Llangollen Motor Museum is a privately owned, family-run collection housed at Pentre Felin, between the River Dee and the Llangollen Canal, about a mile from the town. It is generally dated to 1986 and holds motoring memorabilia including more than sixty cars and motorcycles.

The collection mixes vehicles with the everyday objects of motoring life: toys, pedal cars, ephemera, hands-on items and a reference library. A 1950s garage scene recreates a working garage of the period. The museum describes itself as old-fashioned and personal, and it invites visitors to share their own motoring memories.

The museum opens at weekends, and groups of more than ten people can arrange visits at other times by email or telephone.
