About the museum
The museum belongs to the New Farm Aviation Heritage Group, a volunteer group at Frettenham in Norfolk that aims to preserve the history of aviation and militaria in East Anglia. The group recovers aviation items, both military and civilian, mainly from sites around Norfolk and the wider region.
Its displays include wreckage attributed to about 160 aircraft of around 60 types, some of it very rare, together with artefacts detected at RAF Rackheath, the base of the 467th Bomb Group. The museum is run entirely by the group’s volunteers and opens only on selected Sundays during the summer.
