Over het museum
The museum is named after Robert Dubois-Corneau (1876–1951), a historian who devoted his life to the history of Brunoy and the Yerres valley. It is housed in his former home at 16 Rue du Réveillon.
The collection was initially built around the collection the historian bequeathed at his death in 1951. It was later enriched with works of all kinds and from different periods, from the 18th century to the present day.
It includes works linked to the tragic actor Talma, the painter Maurice Eliot and the sculptor Maurice Prost, among others. The museum is run by the town of Brunoy, holds the “Musée de France” label and presents the public with the history of the town and the Yerres valley since the 18th century.
