Over het museum

The plenary of Cabrils Town Council created the municipal museum on 13 September 1983, and it was inaugurated on 19 August 1984. It operates as a local autonomous body and aims to protect, document, safeguard and disseminate the historical, artistic and cultural heritage of the municipality.

Since 22 January 2011 the Museu-Col·lecció Municipal has been located in Can Ventura del Vi, on Carrer de Santa Creu, in the centre of the town. According to the heritage inventory of the Diputació de Barcelona, its collection is mainly ethnographic in character, with objects of rural life, trades and domestic spaces, as well as natural science and archaeological pieces.
