Over het museum
The Model Railway Museum was established in Třinec-Podlesí in an old country house as a small family museum. It was created within the Czech-Polish project World of Miniatures, which links two attractions in the Cieszyn Silesia region: the Czech mini museum of model railways and the Polish open-air museum Chlebowa Chata.
The aim of the project is to create a joint tourist offer for both places. It includes a shared outdoor game with a story and electronic elements, a joint offer of tours of both exhibitions, joint promotion, and annual family picnics with demonstrations and workshops. The Model Railway Museum offers visitors information about technical heritage and also the chance to operate the models themselves.

City buses no. 704, 709 and 716 from the bus stop in Třinec to the stop Konská – Podlesí, junction; from there it is about 60 metres back against the direction of travel, and the building can be seen from the stop.
